A major factor for doing so successfully is to identify and fulfill Customers' requirements, both from an IT perspective and in relation to the affected departments.

SAP BTS - Business Transformation Services - is the management consulting arm of SAP, committed to guide Customers on their digital transformation journey and help them achieve tangible business outcomes. Our objective is to leverage our global practice of people with a unique combination of business, industry and SAP architecture skills in order to design, drive and realize digital innovation & transformation agendas for our Customers.

As a senior member of BTS, the candidate will report into the Head of Business Transformation Services Italy and the roles expectations are to:

  • be a trusted advisor to executive management to help align business and IT objectives,
  • imagine and design innovative evolution of Customers business architectures and related application,
  • identify opportunities to create value for Customers and generate BTS demand through consultative selling,
  • be a catalyst for successful SAP license and services sales,
  • develop Customers specific BTS service proposals,
  • ensure Customers value delivery and realization by leading BTS engagements,
  • maintain the overview and direct specialists in BTS delivery,
  • provide thought leadership on the use of SAP solutions and BTS services to drive business value.


    Acting as trusted advisor on SAP and BTS to business and IT executives,

    Assessing current enterprise architecture and designing innovative ones based on in memory and cloud solutions,

    Designing enterprise architecture and high level solution architecture,

    Developing and putting into practice groundbreaking strategies for business processes and IT,

    Checking up business processes and identifying improvement opportunities,

    Deploying best-practice business processes,

    Preparing investment decisions based on detailed case examinations,

    Enabling cost reductions (total cost of operation) and process efficiency (total value of ownership),

    Contributing to service development, promotion of BTS and active participation in knowledge communities,

    Participating in knowledge sharing communities and in mentoring of colleagues,

    Demonstrating thought leadership by writing white papers, making presentations and joining to business events,

    Developing HANA and S/4 value-based adoption roadmap.


    The candidate should hold a Bachelors degree, (preferably in business/economics, finance, IT or engineering), Masters degree or MBA. Any advanced certification e.g. PMP, PMP, CMC, ITIL, TOGAF etc. is desirable but not mandatory.

    The ideal candidate should also:

  • have the ability to interact with Customers C-levels and he/she should show excellent communication and executive presentation skills,
  • show Negotiation, interpersonal skills and a strong problem solving and creative thinking,
  • be a results-driven professional. It means he/she should start, drive and accomplish tasks independently with little direction,
  • have a solid perspectives on current IT trends and their impact on business strategies,
  • have recent experience on all stages of the consulting business cycle, including service development, proposals, sales and delivery,
  • Strong knowledge and experience in improving end-to-end processes, designing and leading business processes design/re-engineering projects, in either two of the following areas:
    • Finance,
    • Controlling,
    • Procurement.
  • hold excellent business process expertise in at least one of the following industries:
    • Retail and Banking,
    • Oil and Gas,
    • Automotive,
    • Aerospace and Defense.
  • be knowledgeable on the common SAP solution portfolio and deployment , have hands-on experience on the above mentioned functional areas and have senior program/project manager background.

    The candidate must also be fluent in English and native in Spanish.


  • 9+ years experience in relevant roles (ideally 15+ years total work experience),
  • Experience in delivering business transformation services,
  • Work experience in international environment with exposure on C-levels and be used to communicate with senior business manager as well as IT management about Business and IT Strategy alignment,
  • Program Management of complex and international SAP Transformation programs,
  • Business process analysis, harmonization and standardization nice to have would experience on large transformation business blueprints initiatives,
  • Development of Business Cases, execution of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and Total Value of Ownership (TVO) analysis,
  • Excellent business process expertise in at least one of the following industries: Consumer Products and Utilities.
  • Knowledge of the common SAP solution portfolio is a must. Exposure on the latest SAP solutions is highly required,
  • Leadership-/ Project-/ Program management experience - experience in Team Management on specific project engagements.
