EU Catalogue Services is a program comprised of two work streams, designed to provide best-in-class, scalable solutions to help vendors add selection and improve the quality of their content and metadata (IDQ) on the Amazon platform. There is a clear focus on item data quality and driving improvement for the onsite customer experience.
- Product Setup Service (PSS) provides support to vendors with New Item Setup (NIS). We offer our vendors an easy to use, competitive service for data collection and item creation, whatever the structure of their data.
- Premium Catalogue Services (PCS) offers eligible vendors a dedicated focus on high-quality product detail and discoverability, to drive traffic and conversion of their selection.
We are seeking a high performing Catalog Consultant to contribute to the smooth running of our EU Catalogue Services program. The successful candidate will report into the Spain Catalogue Services Program Manager and will be a strong contributor to the overall vision of the program, meeting the needs of the business whilst protecting the integrity of the customer experience. They must be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and will be a creative and analytical problem solver.

You will be responsible for protecting and enhancing the customer experience, monitoring and maintaining performance and guaranteeing effective communication, implementation and execution of objectives. You will drive ongoing improvements to the quality of Amazon's catalogue and collaborate with other teams and marketplaces to deliver success. Your results will have a significant and measurable impact on the goals of the program and our wider Amazon retail business.
The scope and main responsibilities of the EU Catalogue Services role will include:
Vendor relationships and advocacy
Managing relationships with external business partners, understanding their basic goals, drivers and metrics.
Diving deep into vendor issues, gathering, analyzing and sharing data to push data-driven business decisions.
Coordinating onboarding of new vendors, setting expectations and driving discussion using a preset agenda.
Delivering results through offshore support teams
Acting as a point of contact for offshore team members and category teams, you will own and track issues to ensure that they are addressed, documented, and resolved in a timely and professional manner.
Playing an active role in the training and development of others.
Simplification, automation and process improvement
Scoping, driving and delivering small scale projects. You will define clear briefs and roadmaps, setting the expectations of stakeholders effectively. You will deliver projects with future EU rollout/constraints in mind.
Monitoring and driving efficiency of service processes, analyzing and fixing the root cause of problems.
Identify processes to work on more qualitative IDQ (vs quantitative).
Serve as an innovative center of excellence, working on catalogue pilots, testing new initiatives, etc.
Providing value-added recommendations to enhance systems and programs.
Risk management, escalations and issue resolution
Operating with considerable autonomy, frugality and discretion, working efficiently with good prioritization and judgment. You will identify and evaluate potential risks and determine appropriate corrective action.
Escalating issues promptly and appropriately - knowing when to ask for help.
Performance reporting & communication with stakeholders
Communicating and collaborating effectively with EU peers and management.
Supporting the socialization of our program across our business clusters (office hours & category meetings).
Influencing others (both verbally and in writing), within and outside your team.
Responding promptly and accurately to questions from both customers and internal business partners, including leadership teams.

A bachelors or equivalent business school degree.
Experience creating and developing marketing plans, creating materials, defining campaign schedules and ensuring timely implementation.
Able to research, interpret, analyze, optimize and report ongoing marketing activities, having knowledge of popular marketing tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication with proficiency in both English and Spanish. You must be able to act with professional integrity, working positively, quickly and effectively with a variety of personalities and work styles.
Confidence when handling simultaneous customer relationships, a strong service mindset and ability to use metrics to identify focus areas. You must be skilled at understanding and interpreting business objectives, considering the needs of both Amazon and external partners.

Excellent attention to detail with solid analytical skills to evaluate and resolve ambiguity with processes, including monitoring and improving performance against KPIs.

Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word) and Content Management Systems able to learn and use new tools and systems quickly.
A track record of catalogue and/or project management experience.
Knowledge of SQL, XML, HTML & VBA.
