Amazon is looking for a talented, smart Product Manager to make a dramatic impact on the delivery experience of the customer base in Spain and beyond. This role is responsible for implementing the desired delivery experience for the Spanish Retail organization and partnering with local and EU operations teams and the product development teams in Seattle to implement. Delivery experience includes the shipping options and programs (e.g., free shipping, standard shipping, scheduled delivery, Prime, Add-on, Same-Day etc.), the pricing of the various ship options and programs, and ensuring a quality onsite customer experience and overall service.
Amazon Prime will be one aspect of the overall delivery experience. Prime is a fast-growing membership program providing customers with unlimited fast delivery on millions of items sold by Amazon. Since its introduction in the US in 2005, Prime has become an important engine of global growth for Amazon. Prime members buy more items, shop more often, and spend more than the average Amazon customer. Since the 2005 US launch of the program it has expanded to include programs in the U.K., Germany, Austria, France, Italy, Spain and Japan. As the program continues to grow, it has become an increasingly meaningful source of competitive advantage in the online and traditional retail categories and is a critical building block to Amazons success.
Besides having first-class written and verbal communication skills, this marketing manager will be able to ruthlessly prioritize to meet deadlines, manage expectations and dependencies, and be able to see and show results with data.
We are looking for a Product Manager who shares Amazon's passion for the customer, understands the importance of compelling delivery programs as well as the value Prime offers to customers and Amazon.
Define & improve the overall Delivery Experience offering for Amazon Spain (i.e. provide local input to delivery speeds and pricing strategy) and partner with Operations to ensure delivery quality of carriers.
Monitor competitors delivery offerings and ensure Amazon Spain's delivery options are competitive and compelling.
Project Manage delivery related initiatives and innovations and coordinate with peers in the Retail and Operations teams.
Partner with the Benchmarking team for all competitive benchmarking activities.
Define & improve the Prime value proposition in Spain, including the addition of new shipping benefits, gain the support and approval of senior leaders, and partner with the Prime development team in Seattle.
Ensure a superior Prime member experience and partner with Customer Service to identify and resolve systematic issues.
Act as the primary point of contact for Spain coordinating with the Delivery Experience teams located in Seattle, with the Spanish Retail team, and with the EU Operations team
MBA or Masters in Operations or Logistics
A background in similar areas and having an extensive network with the home delivery industry is a distinct advantage.
