The Senior Visual Designer is responsible for the conceptual development, direction and delivery of visual design. They possess excellent visual design skills with a strong sense of graphic, web and screen design, and a high level of understanding of visual solutions for smaller portable screens. They contribute to and own the visual design aspect of projects and pitches and have an appreciation of interaction design. The Senior Visual Designer can
communicate effectively, clearly articulate ideas and possess a commercial understanding and awareness.
Key tasks and responsibilities
Organise, facilitate and participate in brainstorms or user-focused offerings.
Responsible for the delivery of branding and identity solutions for both internal and external clients.
Provide screen-based solutions focusing on UI design and concepting across channels such as mobile, web, PC applications and interactive TV.
Able to input and design for animation/motion solutions and demos created in Flash, 3D or similar software.
Responsible for the preparation and crafting of presentations for conferences, events and workshops.
Provide and receive critical feedback (critique), and participate in feedback
Work on projects from concept and sketching to final design and asset creation.
Work with high profile brands and within tight brand guidelines and timescales.
Responsible for the creation and delivery of brand guidelines and specifications.
Actively develop the Experience Design knowledge base.
Responsible for the art direction of photo shoots or similar activities.
Ensure continued professional development in personal area of specialism.
Gain, develop and maintain a high-level knowledge of all the capabilities and skill sets within Fjord, and participate in knowledge sharing activities.
Proactively seek ways to improve the design output within projects.

,Knowledge, experience and technical skills:
Excellent knowledge of relevant software packages including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
Demonstrable skills in illustration, photography, or diagrammatic expertise and
iconography are an advantage.
Knowledge of mobile, tablet and desktop platforms is an advantage.
Good task management skills and the ability to brief and on-board other Designers.
Ability to articulate and justify ideas and design solutions to clients.
Ability to work independently and identify and solve problems effectively and efficiently.
Able to demonstrate good written and verbal English skills.
Willingness to perform other related duties as and when required.
