Amazon is seeking an experienced candidate to identify, create, develop and integrate innovative solutions and programs that lead to improvements in our Mexican transportation network. Amazon transportation encompasses all of the operations that deliver worldwide shipments to and from our fulfillment centers and third party locations.
As a business process manager in the Procurement team within Transportation at Amazon, you will be responsible for creating new or improving existing processes that will increase delivery efficiency and decrease costs. The successful candidate will address opportunities that improve transportation costs, decrease delivery times, and increase customer demand. This involves building vendor relationships, addressing transportation related web site functionality, and developing innovative projects that drive improvements in our transportation processes, to include design, measurement, and performance.
Responsibilities will include:
-Maintain weekly metrics, carrier score cards, and day-to-day carrier performance
-Document current processes
-Recommend and implement process changes to increase efficiency
-Collect business and technical requirements to effect the process changes
-Write specifications and driving schedules and launch
-Clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to cross-functional project teams
-The position will require working closely with external clients, internal stakeholders, IT and business groups.
Bachelors Degree from an accredited university or 2+ years Amazon experience
Fully Bilingual (English / Spanish)
2+ years project/process management experience
Experience with SQL and/or HTML
Great analytical skills and strong business judgment
Excellent communication skills
Outstanding customer insight
