The primary function of the Licence Management Team is to work with customers and partners to ensure contractual compliance and to monetize where possible overuse and extended rights. The Senior License Management Specialist is tasked with both managing a defined personal territory and providing operational and strategic leadership to the License Management team in Spain, Portugal and Israel.

The Senior License Management Specialist is tasked with leading high quality, reviews with customers and partners to:

  • Establish whether they are operating within the terms of their agreements with SAP,
  • Determine whether they are getting the best use out of their investment in SAP products and services, and
  • Resolve any non-compliance is such a way as all parties have complete confidence in the contract and fair value has been paid for the licenses .

  • Develop and constantly maintain a very high level understanding of SAP products and their associated licensing terms and conditions as well as SAPs business practices.
  • Work as part of the Cluster License Management Team and achieve goals on a quarterly and yearly basi
  • Work as part of the Cluster leadership team to effectively represent the viewpoint of the license management function
  • Interface to EMEA License Management teams to communicate the performance and requirements of the cluster
  • Actively participate in Account Planning Process to ensure license management activities are optimized within the overall account engagement.
  • Plan and initiate audit engagements through the relevant targeting methodology.
  • Identify and qualify extended license rights opportunities including but not limited to license transfer and contract conversion.
  • Advise on suitability of licensing structures in meeting and optimizing the licensing of Customer's or Partner's business and system environments.
  • Work with SAP customers and partners to understand their utilization of SAP products and services.
  • Present compliance findings/reports to customers and partners.
  • Provide customers and partners with an assessment of current and future licensing needs and education on SAP licensing policies and business practices.
  • Build strong working relationships with other internal departments such as Sales, Channels, Finance, and Legal & Support in country.
  • Work in a cross-functional agile team collaborating closely with operations and development colleagues in an international environment


  • Formal IT, Accounting or Business qualifications.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Advanced written, oral and presentations skills.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills. The ability to handle adverse situations and resistance from customers.
  • Ability to clearly articulate complex ideas and solutions.
  • Sound business acumen and the ability to work with customers and partners at a management level.
  • In some situations have the ability to think out of the box and develop strategies and solutions creatively.
  • Demonstrated working experience either in a product functional /technical or commercial capacity with any of SAP products.

Preference will be given to candidates who have Sales/Pre-Sales/Consulting/Business practice experience with SAP products and services. We would also welcome applications from candidates who are currently in similar license compliance roles with other Software Vendors.
