The Sr. Business Development Manager - Associates & Partnerships is an important role on the Mexico Traffic and Marketing team. This person will work closely with global associates team to 1) identify, 2) qualify, 3) approach, 4) engage, 5) sign and 6) onboard associates/affiliates/partners to drive traffic to the amazon.com.mx site.
The team is highly results oriented, and is focused on leveraging in-house knowledge and technology in order to automate and scale programs maximizing Amazons lifetime value.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development by signing new partnerships resulting in customer acquisition and existing customers growth.
Given the nature of the organization, this person will need to have experience working within cross-functional teams.
This is an entirely new territory so the ideal candidate will be on the ground floor building a playbook for the future of associates business development.
Identify, qualify, approach, engage, sign and onboard prospective associates/affiliates to the Amazon Associates program.
Understand and utilize Associates Program tools to track all pertinent account information and sales progress as well as forecast and prioritize to achieve goals.
Work with regional associates teams in US, Europe, and Asia
Work closely with product management and engineering teams to implement new features boosting associates performance.
Work with existing partners (banks, Telcos, etc) to build B2C traffic driving campaigns overseeing targeting, incentives, communications channels and creative.
Analyze customer data and make recommendations in order to maximize the potential of the assigned territory. Execute successfully on the recommended plan.
Track metrics for recording the success and quality of the Associates/affiliates. Use these metrics to guide your work and uncover hidden areas of opportunity.
Prepare and deliver business reviews regarding progress for the respective territory.
Implement a constant optimization approach.
Minimum of 5 years experience in business development as hunter (ecommerce and associates/affiliates experience highly valued)
Minimum of 2 years experience within digital (digital company, digital projects, digital business models, etc)
Knowledge of the B2C purchase process and how to identify opportunities to create demand and help accelerate opportunities on the B2B front.
Experience creating and executing traffic campaigns using partners assets to reach consumers.
5 years experience on multi-tasking to lead projects simultaneously.
Data analysis skills and ability to identify actionable insights (SQL and data base management experience a plus)
Experience at negotiating and navigating contracts between business and counsel
Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business or certificate of completion of studies is required
Master's in Business Administration
Experience with associates/affiliates.
Experience in ecommerce or within a digital ecosystem
A willingness to dive deep, experiment rapidly and get things done.

Highly organized and detail-oriented.
Not afraid to try new things driven to constantly improve results.
